MAKEBI ZULU, RICHARD MUSUKWA & CHANDA KABWE SUSTAIN MINOR INJURIES IN KASAMA ROAD ACCIDENT
A road traffic accident early this morning has left Patriotic Front (PF) presidential aspirant Makebi Zulu, former Minister of Mines Richard Musukwa, and former DMMU National Coordinator Chanda Kabwe nursing minor injuries.
The incident occurred approximately 25 kilometres from Kasama along the Kasama–Mpika Road, as the trio travelled to attend the funeral of Kasama Mayor Theresa Kolala.
According to initial reports, the vehicle transporting the three politicians was involved in an accident under yet-to-be-explained circumstances. They were quickly rushed to Kasama General Hospital, where medical personnel are attending to them. Sources indicate that the injuries are minor, and all three are in stable condition.
Authorities have not yet released a detailed statement regarding the cause of the crash, but investigations are expected to commence soon. The incident has sparked concern among PF members and the general public, many of whom have taken to social media to wish the leaders a quick recovery.
This accident comes at a time when political activities remain heightened across the country, with leaders frequently travelling for party engagements and public functions.
